Wednesday, January 11, 2017

Malden Police have been granted a warrant for a man alleged to be responsible for the robbery of Brookline Bank on December 27, 2016.  At approximately 9:50AM a lone suspect entered the bank located on Commercial St, Malden and passed a note to the teller demanding cash. He then fled the scene and a search by responding officers was unsuccessful. Detective Disalvatore, a Task Force Officer with the FBI bank robbery task force, began his investigation along with FBI agents and eventually were able to identify the alleged suspect as Mr. Frederick Mandracchia, age 35 (pictured below).  A search ensued for Mandracchia and he was eventually located hiding out in a hotel in Chelsea.  Interviews were able to deem Mr. Mandracchia responsible for many other bank robberies, along with the Malden incident.
