The Malden Police Department is a municipal,
full service, community oriented department. We
offer a variety of investigative, preventative,
and community policing programs to both protect
and serve Malden's
residents and visitors. The force
currently consists of 99 police officers,
made up of the Chief, 4 Captains, 8 Lieutenants,
15 Sergeants, and 71 Patrol Officers.
For those of you visiting from outside the area,
Malden is a diverse community of over 58,000
people bordering the cities of Medford, Melrose,
Everett and Revere. Located 5 miles north
of
Boston, Malden is 5.2 square miles in area
and is situated between Route 93 and Route 1.
